This is a good list. I like how there is a book associated with each topic. I this “smart” is slightly subjective and relative. I think #1 should also imply… Loves to solve problems. Engineers should love to solve problems.

Alex, this is a great list. I’d insert smart as #1, but if they show your traits 1 through 10, they’d have to be pretty smart.
